Enso Kayaks
Jean-Luc of Cashmere, Wa has been working on some really sweet composite boats made just for tearing river waves apart. I got a chance to hop in one at rodeo hole for a quick session and was pleasantly surprised by just how awesome this boat was!

A rock on the Wenatchee?
A massive slab of rock fell into drunkards drop on the play run of the wenatchee river. It's created quite a stir if you know what i mean. It also took out one of the best surfwaves on the wenatchee - Trinity - which is a real bummer. There might be some new waves to shred though...just have to keep an eye on it!
Here is some helmet cam video of the drop from Cameron.

Here's another epic installment from the Well's brothers stouting their way through the Columbia River Gorge. Wild!
Habitat Teaser by Red Shack Productions
Washington's own Red Shack Productions has put together a film culminating in essentially the history of whitewater rafting in the northwest. It really looks like an amazing film. Having seen these guys in action, I can say for sure that they're redefining the ideas of what can or can't be done in a raft.
35 years of rafting in the Pacific Northwest
This documentary takes you through the late 70's and early 80's with Shane Turnbull during his early years with commercial rafting and into the private boating scene. Pushing forward into the 90's with John Hall and AAA Rafting on the White Salmon River and Jeff Bennett and David Sacquety's private boating exploits. In 2008 the raft racing events spawned a new rush in the whitewater world. From 2008 to 2010 rafters in the Pacific Northwest ventured beyond the guidebooks and explored uncharted territory for rafts.
For more information on the full length film go to habitatfilm.com
-Editors note.
Before the making of this film Hans and I put together a couple short edits to get a feel for the overall story that we wanted to build. This edit was released in the 2011 PDX Kayaker Film Festival.

Nile Special with Peter Csonka and "The Beast"
Peter is an inspiration to me and i'm sure many other freestyle kayakers around the globe. His effortless style and huge aerials are just so much fun to watch. Here is a video of him and Nina tearing up the nile special in the new Vajda "Beast."
The Green River: The Forgotten Section
A crisp edit from the pilot collective out east with some bangin hip hop. well done!
White Salmon
I really love this run. fun straightforward whitewater, gorgeous scenery, and opportunities to nut up and run the S#*t. I'm interested to see what the lower sections of river look like now that the dam has been breached! Brought to you by Garret S. and Matt K.
The Chelan River - 1st decent of Pinnacle
Here we have another great video from Dan P. taking us down the amazingly beautiful and challenging chelan gorge. Rob M. decided this day was as good as any to give the previously unrun pinnacle falls a try, and he straight launched off of it!
Chelanigans with the usual suspects
The Chelan River was one of the few places in Washington where whitewater kayakers could gather late in the season and have a epic journey down a short stretch incredibly scenic and technical whitewater. The flow monitoring study is over, and no releases are scheduled for next year, but american whitewater is working on negotiations to keep this phenomenal run open for us all to enjoy. Until then, enjoy the carnage compilation from Boogie Water (this is all from just one run.)
Robe Canyon with Jeremy and Dan
A really great video showing us one of Washingtons true whitewater gem's, Robe Canyon. This video has footage of Jeremy Bisson's no portage run of robe canyon, a RARE feat. Most people walk landslide, and just about all people in their right mind take out above Granite Falls. But Jeremy was on top of his game, and styled his way down making it look all too easy. Way to charge it fellas!
Mat Dumoulin showing some french style paddling in his home spot in Lyon.
As usual, the DK crew has another amazing vid of an amazing paddler on an amazing wave.
Last Sunshine at various flows
Here's a quick gopro edit from Dan P. showing us the lines at Last Sunshine, a technical kicker drop in Washington's beloved Robe Canyon.
